This role is envisioned as a strategic right-hand person to the COO and in conjunction with the Performance Office. Position will drive cross functional initiatives, provide support for strategic planning and change management. Responsibilities
Project Management for High Priority, High Impact, Cross-functional Initiatives
Project Planning and Initiation
- Defines project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders
- Develops comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget estimation
- Identifies and assesses project risks, issues, and dependencies and develops mitigation strategies
Project Execution and Control
- Leads project teams and provides clear direction, guidance, and support throughout the project lifecycle
- Coordinates and oversees project activities and ensures adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
- Monitors project progress, tracks key performance indicators, and prepares regular status reports for stakeholders
- Conducts project risk assessments, implements mitigation measures, and resolves issues in a timely manner
- Facilitates effective communication and collaboration between cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders
Stakeholder Management
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Engages stakeholders to gather project requirements, provide updates, and manage expectations
- Conducts stakeholder meetings, presentations, and workshops to ensure awareness, alignment, and collaboration
Change Management
- Assesses the impact of changes on project scope, schedule, and resources
- Develops change management strategies and facilitates the implementation of approved changes
- Communicates changes effectively to project teams and stakeholders, ensuring seamless transitions
Project Evaluation and Closure
- Conducts comprehensive project evaluations, identing lessons learned and areas for improvement
- Ensures all project documentation is complete, accurate, and stored appropriately
- Obtains client acceptance and sign-off upon successful project completion
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus
- 7 years of experience as a Project Manager, successfully delivering IT and Business projects
- Proven track record for on-schedule, on-budget, high-quality project delivery
- Comprehensive understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, PMBOK)
- Proficiency in project management software solutions
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams
- Exceptional communication and people skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
- Technical acumen and familiarity with IT systems, software development lifecycle, and business process re-engineering are highly desirable
- Strong analytics and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering innovative and effective solutions
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus
- Healthcare experience is a plus

- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
