Position: Utilization Management Assistant
Reports To: UM Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Position Description:
The Utilization Management Assistant is responsible for processing and distributing reauthorization requests to our utilization management team. Additional job duties include additional assigned tasks when needed and establishing accurate records in compliance with applicable laws and regulations as well as the policies of tango. This role is responsible for coordinating authorization, eligibility, customer service and related activities for the maximum utilization of services.
Essential Functions:
- Exhibits a pleasant and welcoming demeanor both in person and on the phone.
- Manages the distribution of workload via tempo and email of all incoming re-authorization requests.
- Verifies insurance and eligibility for authorization requests.
- Answers non-routine correspondence and assembles highly confidential and sensitive information.
- Other team duties as required.

- Office located at 7600 North 16th Street, Suite 140 Phoenix, AZ 85020 (Remote)
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Has a minimum of three months experience in company data entry.
- Has working knowledge and experience with company computerized data base.
- Is customer service oriented with good oral and written communication skills.
- Is self-directed, flexible, cooperative, and exhibits the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Is detail oriented and displays good organizational skills.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Computer proficiency for Microsoft Office products required
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Professional appearance and manner
- Ability to follow directions and processes
- Friendly with a Customer Focus
- Thorough and extremely well organized
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
- Must have the ability to multi-task
