Entry-Level Locksmith Technician

Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Locksmith. No prior locksmith experience is necessary—we will provide comprehensive on-the-job training! Key Responsibilities: Training & Technical Skills Development:

• Install, repair, and maintain various types of locks, including residential, commercial, automotive, and safes.
• Key cutting, key duplication, and rekeying locks.
• Program car keys, transponder keys, remotes, and fobs.
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing lock-related issues.

Fieldwork & Service:

• On-site locksmith work.
• Perform lockouts for homes, businesses, and vehicles.
• Install new locks, deadbolts, and hardware at customer locations.

Customer Service & Communication:

• Communicate clearly with customers about the scope of work and estimated timelines.
• Provide professional, friendly service to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Answer basic questions and educate customers on security product options and services.

Shop & Inventory Management:

• Maintain tools, and equipment.
• Keep track of key blanks, locks, and other parts to ensure adequate inventory.
• Prepare and restock materials.

Qualifications:

• No prior locksmith experience required. On-the-job training (OJT) will be provided.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn technical skills.
• Valid driver's license with a cleandriving record. You MUST be commercially insurable.
• Honesty. A background check and motor vehicle report will be conducted on every applicant.
• Good communication skills and customer service experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work on ladders or in confined spaces.

Working Conditions:

• Full-time position with weekend or after-hours availability.
• Work is performed both at customer locations and in our shop.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
