Cardiology Surgery Scheduler

Job Summary
Busy Henderson Cardiology office seeking a dedicated and experienced Cardiology Surgery Scheduler with a positive attitude and excellent work ethic to join our team in Henderson, NV. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in scheduling surgeries and managing prior authorizations, ensuring a seamless experience for our patients and healthcare providers. CollaborateMD knowledge preferred.

Duties to include but are not limited to:

• Schedule cardiology surgeries and procedures, coordinating with patients, surgeons, and medical staff.
• Work with insurance companies to manage and obtain prior authorizations for surgeries and procedures, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately and timely.
• Communicate with patients regarding surgery schedules, pre-operative instructions and post-operative follow-up appointments.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and scheduling information.
• Handle inquiries from patients regarding their surgical procedures and provide exceptional customer service.
• Collaborate with the billing department to ensure accurate medical billing processes are followed.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Previous experience as a surgery scheduler, preferably in cardiology.
• Strong knowledge of prior authorization processes and requirements.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Knowledge of medical billing processes is beneficial.
• Proficiency in medical scheduling software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of infection control standards and utilization of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE). Ability to perform essential job functions using proper body mechanics.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 29 per week
