The ideal candidate will produce construction documents, and coordinate with consultants to ensure project success. This position involves managing the technical aspects of projects, ensuring quality and accuracy while meeting project deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Construction Documentation:
- Develop detailed construction documents with a high level of precision using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Ensure documents comply with building codes, client requirements, and industry standards.
- Lead the assembly of construction documents, including plans, elevations, sections, and details.
- Design Development and Coordination:
- Collaborate with architects and design teams to develop design solutions that align with project goals and client expectations.
- Coordinate with consultants, including structural, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), and other external teams to integrate their input into construction documents.
- Manage and organize consultant drawings and specifications.
- Construction Administration:
- Coordinate RFI (Requests for Information) and Submittal Reviews, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Manage drawing revisions and issue supplemental construction phase documents as needed.
- Monitor project progress and provide support to the construction team for successful project delivery.
- Team Leadership and Communication:
- Lead and mentor junior team members to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
- Facilitate team meetings to coordinate design and documentation efforts.
- Ensure that projects are executed on schedule and within budget constraints.
- Client and Project Management (As Applicable):
- Engage with clients to provide project status updates and address design or construction issues.
- May act as a Project Manager depending on capabilities and project requirements.
- Professional Architectural Degree desired
- 5 years of experience in commercial and industrial projects.
- Licensed Architect or Unlicensed (Job Captain) with equivalent experience.
- Highly proficient in Revit and AutoCAD, including practical application in the design and documentation of commercial and industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and materials.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively to meet project deadlines.
