Previous Experience as a Medical Office Administrator Required
Personable, team-oriented, enthusiastic individual with a strong ability to multi-task. Excellent phone and customer service skills a must. Must be detail-oriented with good computer skills, organized. Good communication supervisory skills a must within office.
Function: This position is responsible for performing and supervising the performance of all administrative duties assigned with the day-to-day business of Professional Rehabilitation Services. Works under the direction of the Owner and Administrator. Is responsible for overseeing the day to day front and admin office duties, credentialing, supervising employees with day to day front office duties and all other specific office duties, including, but not limited to patient records maintenance , filing, patient appointments, telephone response, and any other Professional Rehabilitation Services correspondence.
EDUCATION: Associates / Bachelors / or Master’s Degree required. Training in typing, computer operations and programs, filing, medical terminology and learning office procedures a must. Good communication skills. Legible and organized handwriting. Ability to follow and direct instructions accurately. Enjoys working with people. Able to understand and obtain medical insurance benefits, collect daily patient insurance estimate payments and respond to insurance billing questions and requests. Evidence of taking a leading role with responsibility and professionalism.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two years medical office management experience. Capable of developing a strong professional rapport with patients and staff. Good communication skills. Organized and professional. Capable of mastering all office policies and procedures. Previous experience in typing, filing, medical terminology, and following office procedures required or sufficient training. Knowledge of insurance billing and receivable's. Must type at least 55 WPM. Must be responsible and capable of maintaining patient confidentiality as well as supervision of office staff . Previous supervisory experience required. Some accounting background preferred.
TEAM PARTICIPATION: Participates in mandatory in-services, staff education, team meetings, and quality improvement programs for patient care and staff development projects. Performs and does task asked of by Administrator and owner.
