Staff Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant with 1 to 3 years of accounting experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in QuickBooks Online and inventory accounting, along with a background in manufacturing, wholesale, or distribution industries. Experience with ERP implementation is a plus. This role involves handling general accounting functions, inventory reconciliation, and financial reporting to support our growing business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Oversee inventory accounting, ensuring accurate cost tracking, valuation, and reconciliation.
• Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions efficiently.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries and adjustments.
• Utilize QuickBooks Online for financial management and reporting.
• Support and contribute to ERP system implementation and process improvements.
• Prepare financial statements, variance analysis, and reports for management.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and company policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve inventory controls and accounting efficiencies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1 to 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing, wholesale, or distribution environment.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (required).
• Experience with inventory accounting and cost tracking.
• Knowledge of ERP systems; experience with an ERP implementation is a plus.
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
