The Managing Director of PSP Events will be responsible for leading the agency’s efforts on events,
on-site activations, and experiences for select client accounts and projects, with an eye on growing
the events division overall.
Position Duties and Accountabilities
Client Engagement and Strategy:
- Collaborate with internal PSP teams to identify and capitalize on new opportunities within existing client relationships and potential new clients.
- Develop innovative and effective recommendations aligned with client goals, backed by strategic insight and clear rationale.
- Understand and interpret client objectives, preferences, and budget constraints to deliver tailored event solutions.
Event Conceptualization and Execution:
- Lead the end-to-end process of bringing experiential concepts to life, encompassing all logistical elements such as vendor negotiations, staffing, and on-site coordination.
- Take ownership of each event, ensuring seamless execution from inception to completion, while maintaining a high standard of quality and creativity.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of detailed event plans, timelines, and production schedules.
Project Management:
- Apply advanced project management methodologies to oversee all phases of event production, from initial planning to final execution and post-event analysis.
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, defining project scope, objectives, deliverables, and milestones.
- Utilize project management tools to track progress, manage risks, and ensure that events are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely completion of all project tasks and deliverables.
- Conduct post-event evaluations to assess event success against objectives and identify areas for improvement.
Financial Oversight:
- Manage event budgets, ensuring transparency and alignment with client expectations and internal financial goals.
- Utilize accounting software and tracking tools to monitor expenses, project costs, and profitability metrics.
On-Site Management:
- Supervise the execution of events and activations, providing leadership and problem solving support on-site to address any issues that arise.
- Ensure that all events adhere to safety regulations, client specifications, and organizational standards, prioritizing the well-being of the public, PSP staff, and clients.
Compliance and Legal:
- Ensure all events comply with insurance requirements, obtain necessary permits, and meet all contractual obligations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and standards to safeguard compliance across all events.
Internal Collaboration and Culture:
- Maintain open lines of communication with the PSP team, fostering a collaborative and cohesive work environment.
- Actively participate in internal meetings, agency events, and initiatives to contribute to and enhance company culture.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Undertake additional accountabilities as directed by senior management, adapting to the dynamic needs of the events division and the broader agency.
- Travel as required to support event execution and advance work, based on the events schedule and ad-hoc requirements.

Background and Experience
- Minimum 8-10 years’ experience working in sports & entertainment events
- Experience leveraging brand goals for impactful and successful events
- Experience working with multiple departments & stakeholders to achieve client objectives
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
