SCOPE
You are dedicated to learning & embrace new opportunities to enhance your skills & knowledge! You are responsible for providing an AMAZING customer experience to Profinium customers. You help the organization to provide service to our customers & deepen existing customer relationships by taking care of their day-to-day banking transactions. In addition, you will shadow our Ag/Business Banking department & learn ways to help our clients meet their personal & professional full financial health. You play an important role in delivering an AMAZING client experience!
**THIS OPPORTUNITY IS A MINIMUM OF 20 HOURS PER WEEK**
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Customer Service – 50 %
- You provide a high level of customer service, including greeting walk-in customers & answering incoming calls in a friendly, professional manner.
- You perform paying & receiving functions for customers. This will include cashing checks, taking deposits, withdrawals, mortgage, consumer loan & other payments. Additionally, you may provide official checks & help customers with other transaction services.
- You refer customers to other Relationship Bankers who can assist with their more advanced account needs. This includes checking, savings, certificates, safety deposit boxes, IRA’s & HSA’s, etc.
- You provide a high level of customer service & are knowledgeable of the bank products offered, allowing you to understand & service the customer’s needs.
- You ensure that the assigned cash balances on a daily basis, is kept secure at all times & must keep cash drawer within assigned drawer limits.
- You understand & comply with the related laws & compliance regulations that pertain to all of your duties. Examples include bank secrecy act, privacy, & funds availability policy.
Learning – 30%
- You adopt a learning mindset; listening, absorbing, practicing & applying new concepts & ideas with an open mind & positive attitude within the internship working environment.
- You will become familiar with organizational & industry-specific policies & procedures.
- You will shadow all departments within Profinium to help understand general banking & Profinium specific policies, procedures, etc.
- You may attend networking events & participate in various training opportunities via conferences, webinars, observation opportunities, online trainings, etc
- You will shadow Ag/Business Banking team members; gaining knowledge on how to analyze loan data, creditworthiness, etc.
- You recognize any suspicious behavior & have the ability to make decisions when to consult management on any transactions.
Account Management –10%
- You maintain accurate client records & documentation, including regular updates & maintenance within our Client Relationship Management (CRM) tool.
- You assist in monitoring loans in repayment & collect past due loans & loans in defaulT
- You ensure that proper documentation is completed.
Other - 10%
- You comply with organization policies, systems, processes & procedures with a strong commitment to the overall direction & focus of the organization.
- As a part of the overall team of bank employees, you may be requested to assist in the support of other bank activities.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

- You are currently a Junior or Senior enrolled in High School and on-track to graduate on time. OR
- You have a High School Diploma or equivalent AND
- You are attending an accredited college/university, and pursuing a degree in an industry-related field
- You have a high numerical aptitude
- You have the ability to maintain confidential information
- You have the skills needed in a typical office environment, including computer skills & utilization of office equipment
While performing the duties of this job, you are regularly required to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, attend meetings, etc. You have the ability to operate a computer, carry, handle & feel objects; reach with hands & arms; communicate effectively & efficiently in person & over the phone. You must occasionally lift &/or move up to 25 pounds or more with assistance. You have the ability to travel to other locations as needed. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception & the ability to adjust focus.
