Description :
The Safety, Training & Compliance Manager is responsible for overseeing and ensuring that a company's pest control practices comply with State regulations, corporate policies, and safety standards. The role combines knowledge of pest management, regulatory compliance, quality control and project management to ensure that pest control operations are efficient, sustainable, and safe for both employees and customers.
Location : Boca Raton, FL (fully onsite)
Salary : $75,600.00 - $85,000.00
Key Responsibilities :
Regulatory Compliance :
- Ensure pest control programs adhere to local, state, and federal regulations.
- Stay updated on relevant industry standards, such as the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) guidelines, OSHA, and other pest management laws.
- Oversee proper licensing and certification of pest control service providers.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure that pest control methods, tools, and chemicals meet regulatory standards.
Quality Assurance :
Oversee the implementation of quality control processes for pest control operations, ensuring services are effective, efficient, and in line with company standards.Perform regular inspections of service sites to ensure pest control treatments are applied correctly and that safety protocols are being followed.Monitor pest control service outcomes and customer feedback to ensure a high level of satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.Identify opportunities for process improvement in pest control treatments and operational workflows to enhance service quality and efficiency.Pest Control Program Management :
Develop, implement, and monitor pest control programs across multiple corporate facilities.Ensure that pest control measures are proactively preventing infestations.Review and update pest control plans as necessary based on inspections, audits, and regulatory changes.Coordinate with pest control vendors to ensure service delivery aligns with corporate needs and compliance requirements.Documentation and Reporting :
Maintain detailed records of pest control activities, inspections, and incidents.
Prepare reports for senior management, regulatory agencies, and insurance companies as required.
Ensure that all records are accurate, up-to-date, and accessible for audits and inspections.
Training and Awareness :
Develop and deliver training programs for staff regarding pest prevention, safety protocols, and compliance requirements.Raise awareness across the organization about the importance of maintaining a pest-free environment.Ensure pest control contractors and internal teams follow safe and environmentally responsible pest management practices.Vendor Management :
Evaluate and select pest control service providers and ensure that service contracts comply with corporate standards.Manage vendor performance and ensure that they are meeting compliance requirements and service levels.Address any service issues or compliance breaches and develop corrective action plans.Health & Safety :
Work closely with the Health and Safety team to ensure pest control practices do not pose a risk to employees, customers, or the environment.Ensure that pest control products and chemicals are stored and used safely according to regulatory guidelines.Respond to any pest-related health or safety incidents and implement mitigation measures.Cost Management :
Monitor pest control budgets and ensure efficient use of resources.Evaluate cost-effectiveness of pest control methods and recommend improvements or alternative solutions when necessary.Requirements : Education :
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Public Health, Facilities Management, or related field (preferred)
Certifications in pest control or pest management are a plus.
Experience :
3-5 years of experience in pest control management, facilities management, or environmental health and safety.
Prior experience managing compliance in large corporate or multi-location environments is a plus.
Skills & Competencies :
In-depth knowledge of pest control techniques and products.Strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations (e.g., EPA, OSHA, local pest control regulations).Excellent organizational and documentation skills.Ability to work with cross-functional teams, contractors, and vendors.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Analytical mindset with attention to detail.Ability to manage budgets and prioritize tasks effectively.Travel 25%Working Conditions :
This position requires travel between company locations.The role may involve occasional work in outdoor environments or in areas where pest control services are needed.Flexibility in hours may be required depending on the urgency of pest-related incidents.
