Position Overview: As an Ultrasound Technician, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures to produce high-quality images for medical interpretation. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely diagnoses for patients. This is a full-time position, with a schedule of 40 hours per week. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, obstetrical, gynecological, vascular, and small parts exams
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and answering any questions they may have
- Position patients and equipment to obtain the best images possible
- Operate ultrasound equipment and adjust settings to ensure the highest quality images
- Analyze images and provide accurate measurements and calculations for physician interpretation
- Maintain patient records and ensure proper documentation of procedures
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely diagnoses
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Continuously update knowledge and skills through ongoing education and training Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduation from an accredited ultrasound program
- Current ARDMS certification in Abdomen and OB/GYN
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technician
- Strong understanding of ultrasound equipment and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
- Current BLS certification
