Position Overview:
This internship provides an opportunity for candidates interested in exploring marketing and branding within a nonprofit setting. The selected candidate will:
- Develop a digital media calendar, in collaboration with PACE staff, for digital and print publications, promoting PACE’s programs, grants, and events.
- Create engaging content for various platforms, including the website, newsletter, brochures, and social media.
- Assist in planning and executing events.
Learning Objectives:
- Gain an understanding of the nonprofit landscape within the region.
- Design and implement a comprehensive marketing calendar.
- Develop and manage marketing content across websites and social media.
- Acquire insights into event planning and logistics.
Required Qualifications:
· Excellent written, proofreading, and editing skills - essential for creating compelling marketing content and communications materials.
· Demonstrated positive and enthusiastic work ethic, with a genuine passion for PACE's mission - this shows commitment to our values and ability to authentically represent our organization.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneDrive, Forms) - these tools are used daily for core work functions.
· Basic understanding of social media management, email marketing platforms, and analytics tools - necessary for supporting our digital marketing efforts.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Creative thinking with strong attention to detail - valuable for developing engaging content while maintaining accuracy.
· Basic design skills with experience in Canva or similar tools - helpful for creating social media graphics and marketing materials.
· Understanding of nonprofit marketing challenges and/or demonstrated willingness to learn - shows potential for growth and adaptation.
· Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment - important for team integration and project success.
· Project management experience - beneficial for handling multiple tasks and deadlines.
Time Commitment:
The internship offers flexibility, with an option for a minimum of 10 hours per week, up to 20 hours per week. Start and end dates are determined by PACE in collaboration with the candidate. The work will be a mix of in-office and remote hours. Laptop and parking reimbursement provided, if necessary.
Compensation:
$15 - $20 per hour, including work study subsidies, where available.
