Job Overview

Duties performed may include but are not limited to:

• Report on time daily.
• Perform assigned tasks in a timely manner according to the scope of work for a project.
• Installation and/or maintenance of landscaping for commercial and residential properties in accordance to ProGreen standards. Tasks could include, but are not limited too - Building flowerbeds according to design, installation of various size plants and trees, installing sod, grass mowing, string trimming, edging, pruning of plants and trees, herbicide spraying, manual weed removal, mulching, etc.
• Installation and/or maintenance of irrigation systems.
• Promote and follow standards for a safe work environment - wearing proper PPE, reporting accidents, supervise the proper use of hand tools, mowing equipment, and truck and trailers.
• Ensure that crew members are working continuously onsite and will complete daily tasks in order to keep the whole project on course to be completed in a timely manner.
• Report any damage to company equipment, and request replacements.
• Communicate with management, customers, and coworkers in a professional and respectful manner.
• Job often requires working in adverse conditions such as excessive heat and humidity.

Experience

• Proven experience in landscape maintenance/installation is required, with reputable references. Minimum of 2 years preferred.
• Strong knowledge of lawn care techniques, tree care practices, and proper equipment handling techniques.
• Previous supervisory experience is preferred; ability to lead a team effectively is crucial.
• Familiarity with groundskeeping practices and the ability to build or install landscaping features is a plus.
• A passion for working outdoors and creating beautiful landscapes is highly valued.

Requirements:

• Above listed experience with references.
• Drivers License with clean driving record.
• Drug free - with potential pre hire drug testing, and well as random testing throughout employment.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Stong work ethic and ability to lead coworkers through teamwork and respect.
• Bilingual - English and Spanish is preferred but not required.

Compensation

This position is paid an hourly rate. Pay will be determined by prior work experience and is at the discretion of the Employer. Pay is competitive to local industry standards.

• 40 hours per week expected but not guaranteed - with potential for overtime.
• Some weekend work required
