Minimum Duties And Responsibilities
- Monitor, evaluate, & review standard work with department Supervisor;
- Analyze major metrics (open tags, inventory accuracy, shipping accuracy, etc.) monthly, looking for
- Work with Planners or Suppliers as needed to resolve issues such as OS&D, record accuracy, or shipping
- Work to ensure teamwork between departments;
- Respond quickly to changing operations and customer needs.
- Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
- Identifying the educational needs of others, developing formal educational or training programs or
- Providing guidance and expert advice to management or other groups on technical, systems-, or processrelated topics.
- Write or revise standard operating procedures for logistics processes.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- B.A./B.S. degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience, preferred.
- Analytical ability where problems are complex;
- Demonstrated understanding supply chain processes;
- Experience in inventory control;
- Accuracy and the ability to make independent decisions within the limits of processes;
- Must be detail oriented;
- Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook);
- Medium level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others;
- Well-developed oral and written communications skills;
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines;
- Ability to work additional hours as deemed required;
- Knowledge of manufacturing operations and supply chain;
- Product knowledge of locomotives and their components;
- Understanding of Supply Chain principles and Distributed Requirements Planning (DRP).
- Strength – Occasional lifting, up to 35 lbs individually and 55 lbs team lift;
- Motion – The position spends the majority of time in an office setting, at desk utilizing office equipment;
- Vision/Hearing Requirements – May spend long periods of time in front of computer screen. Must be
- Work Environment – Work in non-temperature-controlled environment in most situations. Must be capable of wearing PPE (safety glasses, hardhats, metatarsal boots, earplugs, gloves, etc.) No jewelry (in shop);
- Emotional Demands – Must have good communications skills and attention to details;
- Safety – This is not a safety sensitive position. PPE is required when working in production areas.
