**Job Description:**
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at Progress Rail. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and delivering training programs on electrical systems and locomotives to internal and external customers.
About the Position:
- Develop and deliver training programs on EMD Equipment, including familiarization, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of EMD locomotives.
- Ensure course content is current, accurate, and aligned with FRA and company rules and regulations.
- Work independently with wide latitude for creativity, perception, and initiative.
- Review and edit technical publications, request photos, graphics, and diagrams as necessary.
- Provide technical advice to customers regarding proper maintenance practices and operation of products to maximize reliability and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop comprehensive training programs.
- Conduct training sessions, provide demonstrations, and answer questions from participants.
- Review and update existing training materials to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent electrical or mechanical training.
- 10 years hands-on experience maintaining locomotive systems.
- Product knowledge along with mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- High level of oral and technical writing skills.
