- Monitor and record vital signs as needed.
- Assist clients with mobility and physical activities.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
- Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, including those with dementia or disabilities.
- Uphold resident rights and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Manage conflicts effectively while providing emotional support to clients and their families.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
Experience
- Previous experience in caregiving or direct care roles is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with hospice care practices is a plus.
- Knowledge of resident rights and ethical considerations in caregiving.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or dementia care is beneficial.
- Skills in conflict management and social work principles are advantageous.
- Understanding of basic health monitoring techniques, including vital signs assessment.
