Custodian/Janitor -1099

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian 1099 contractor. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, with a focus on both commercial and residential spaces.

**Must be able to pass a background check

**Must have own insurance and be able to produce a COI

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and vacuuming floors.
• Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Conduct industrial cleaning tasks as needed to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Assist with facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or issues to management.
• Carry out custodial duties in both commercial and residential settings as required.
• Ensure proper use of cleaning supplies and equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
• Execute floor care procedures including stripping, waxing, and polishing surfaces.
• Support porter duties by transporting materials or equipment as necessary.
• Maintain an organized supply area and ensure that all cleaning tools are in good working condition.

Requirements

• Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices is a plus.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and safety practices is advantageous.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• A valid driver’s license may be required for transportation between job sites.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
