Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Head Custodian to join our PDI team . The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial cleaning, custodial services, and facilities maintenance.
Custodial Services Supervisor/DANA Crew Chief Job Summary:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of the Crew Team Members engaged in cleaning and maintaining premises by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Adheres to work schedule provided by Region 3 Coordinator.
2. Performs duties of workers supervised.
3. Assigns tasks to Crew Team Members
4. Inspects completed work for conformance to standards
5. Assists in ensuring a safe work environment for his/her crew
6. Ensures proper training is given to all subordinates as required to ensure safety, meticulous job performance and customer satisfaction
7. Ensures individual safety in event of a medical emergency
8. Assists personnel in physical and/or emotional needs
9. Counsels subordinates and assists in problem resolution as required, or refers matters to the Region 3 Director
10. Issues equipment and supplies needed for completion of assigned tasks
11. Participates in training sessions and/or meetings requested by Region 3 Coordinator
12. Inventories supplies monthly and submits requests for replenishment to the Region 3 Coordinator.
13. Operates agency vehicle and ensures completion of vehicle logs sheets, passenger lists, accident reports, maintenance repair requests and turn in fuel tickets to the Region 3 Coordinator.
14. Documents necessary information in Incident Reports, Payroll Error Notification sheets, Contact Logs, Job Completion, Purchase Order for Repairs, Attendance Logs, Timesheets, Daily notes, Supply Requests, Data Collection Sheets and other forms in a timely manner
15. Demonstrates working knowledge of the concept and practice of normalization for clients and the agency’s mission daily
16. Ensures that the best possible working relationship is maintained between the agency and our customers
17. Performs other duties as required by the Region 3 Coordinator.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITIES
Ensure Completion of all essential duties and responsibilities. Ensure supervision and training of assigned Crew Members for mission accomplishment. Ensure supplies to complete mission are always available. Ensure OHSA standards are met and MSDS Book is available for use.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED): or on to three related months related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Kentucky Driver’s License or Tennessee Driver’s License
