BI Developer Senior/Lead

As a business intelligence developer senior or lead on the Commercial Lines Business Intelligence team, you'll work with a team of BI developers, data analysts, and consultants to build products that will be consumed for business intelligence and other advanced analytic solutions.  In this role, you'll design, implement, and work with large and complex datasets to build and maintain complex ELT/ETL data pipelines and interact with APIs to ensure data quality, consistency, and enable efficient data analysis and reporting. Additionally, you'll use your solid business acumen and communication skills to consult, collaborate, influence, and present to all levels of the organization.   

This is a remote position for US based work only.

Schedule: M-F, 8 am to 5 pm EST. 

Must-have Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years related work experience with working knowledge of designing/developing, programming and supporting software programs/applications.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in an Information Technology or Business discipline or related field of study (e.g., Computer Science, MIS, Business Management) and a minimum of 2 years designing/developing, programming and supporting software programs/applications.
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience building and maintaining complex data pipelines in AWS Snowflake including unstructured data and utilizing Python, SQL, and data orchestration tools such as AWS Snowflake Tasks and Prefect or DBT
• Experience with AWS S3 concepts and Docker. Knowledge of Streamlit/Snowflake app development is beneficial
• Experience with calling external APIs and developing new APIs. Skilled in Python scripts to automate data processing tasks. Experience with SSIS ETL jobs, diagnosing and troubleshooting production processes, and implementing performance tuning
• Experience building/maintaining Tabular Data Models with Power BI and reporting visualization design skills using tools such as Tableau or Power BI
• Solid business acumen and communication skills with the ability to consult, collaborate, influence, and present to all levels of the organization, both verbally and through written communications
  
  

Compensation

• $110,000-$131,600/year depending on position level and experience
• Gainshare annual cash incentive payment up to 30% to 40% (depending on position level) of your eligible earnings based on company performance
