Description : JOB SUMMARY
The Controls Engineering Co-op is responsible for assisting the Controls Engineer with real world application of industrial controls design and programming principles.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Support design, programming, debugging, and / or machine qualification activities to ensure design conforms to project requirements and specifications.
- Read electrical schematics.
- Collaborate with Controls Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Electricians, Assemblers, and Project Management.
- Utilize AutoCad Electrical to assist in designing electrical and pneumatic hardware for industrial control systems.
- Utilize PLC, HMI, PC, Robotic, and Vision design software to assist programing a portion of a custom industrial control system.
- Utilize PLC, HMI, PC, Robotic, and Vision design software to assist in debugging a portion of a custom industrial control system.
- Perform proof of process tests and document results.
- Assist the Controls Engineer with project related tasks and assignments.
- Observe safety procedures
