Job Summary
The Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) plays a crucial role in providing mental health support and services to individuals across various demographics, in the behavioral health space. This position involves direct support, psychotherapy, and counseling to clients dealing with mental health challenges, addiction issues, and other related concerns. The QMHP will work closely with clients to develop treatment plans, conduct assessments, connect with community resources, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while maintaining a compassionate and supportive environment.
Duties
- Provide in-person direct support and counseling to individual clients, 100% travel required.
- Assist clinician in comprehensive assessments to identify client needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Implement psychotherapy techniques tailored to the unique needs of each client.
- Offer addiction counseling resources to individuals struggling with substance use disorders.
- Collect and analyze research data related to client outcomes and program effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and treatment progress in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for clients across various settings, including outpatient services.
- Engage in continuous professional development through training in Christian counseling methodologies as well as other relevant therapeutic approaches.
