We are seeking Electrical Engineers eager to join the Power & Utilities industry with one of the largest Utility companies in the Nation!
Key Responsibilities:
- Small Cell Implementation: Collaborate with the Colocation Product Manager and Construction Coordinator to facilitate small cell implementation.
- Site Review: Assess potential small cell locations using DistView, Google Earth, and CSS.
- Job Engineering: Engineer jobs in JETS, ensuring proper procurement of all necessary equipment.
- Drawing Reviews: Evaluate communication provider drawings for accuracy in location, antenna height, fiber connections, and equipment.
- Pole Loading Analysis: Conduct analysis on proposed poles.
- Workflow Management: Complete engineering-related fields in Varasset.
- Billing and Material Management: Ensure correct billing and material charges for each project.
Requirements: Education & Experience:
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree or 4 years of equivalent experience.
- Desired: Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
- Certifications: Project Management Certification is a plus.
- Experience: 0-5 years, including co-ops, EOC, internships. Utility-related electrical distribution experience required.
Skills & Abilities:
- Technical Proficiency:
- Experience with JETS, DistView, GIS, Socket, TEAMS, Auto-CAD, MOBI applications.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Industry Knowledge:
- Understanding of "Make Ready Work".
- Experience with 4G/5G installations (preferred but not required).
- Knowledge of Pole loading (good to have but not required).
- Communication:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are REQUIRED.
- Ability to effectively interact with internal and external customers.
- Project Management:
- Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with various stakeholders.
- Analytical Skills:
- Strong analytical skills; typically met by degreed engineers.
Additional Requirements:
- Travel: Must be able to travel; reliance solely on public transportation is not considered.
- Remote Work: Daily internet access is necessary.
- Software Proficiency:
- Familiarity with proprietary software like JETS, CSS, LAMP, CAMP, DistView, Varasset (training provided if unfamiliar).
