MECHANICAL PROJECT MANAGER (Permanent)
Our client a local contracting company in WNY is looking to hire a Mechanical Project Manager to join their growing team. This position is an addition to the team due to growth and is an excellent opportunity with a great worklife balance.
Responsibilities :
- Perform full cycle management of complex mechanical projects from start through completion
- Ensure commercial HVAC & Plumbing projects are completed in a timely manner on budget and according to the outlined specifications
- Develop a network of subcontractors to reach out to and collaborate with
- Assess intricacies and determine realistic timelines for each project
- Cold call subcontractors to bid on specific projects
- Write contracts for subcontractors
- Review drawings to have a full understanding of the extent of the projects and ensure accurate cost estimates
- Establish the budget summary and review with the supervisor for each project
- Procure necessary materials & equipment
- Maintain positive relationships with foremen project engineers project administrators etc.
- Collaborate with outside vendors subcontractors and the superintendents to ensure tasks are being executed in a timely manner
- Monitor Project s deliverables and make adjustments as necessary
- Adjust budget and estimates to reflect market changes in pricing
- Work well in a team environment as well as independently
- Complete special projects in a timely manner
- Other duties as assigned / as necessary
