We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Provider Relations Representative to support our client’s provider contracting initiatives. This hybrid role requires occasional onsite presence in Baltimore for mailing campaigns and team meetings.
The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of experience in a healthcare or health insurance payer environment, strong provider relations skills, and the ability to manage multiple administrative workflows. Responsibilities:
Provider Communication and Support (35%)
- Manage contracting email boxes and triage incoming provider inquiries.
- Respond to escalated issues from provider practices or internal teams, ensuring timely resolution or escalation as needed.
Administrative Workflow Management (30%)
- Organize contracting-related tasks such as printing/uploading contracts, managing mailings, updating templates, and fee disclosures.
- Support documentation for audits or regulatory compliance and research returned mail or complaints.
Documentation and Process Management (15%)
- Maintain standard operating procedures and departmental process documentation.
- Track and report recurring issues or trends to management.
Healthcare Knowledge Application (10%)
- Maintain familiarity with company insurance plans, product offerings, and reimbursement models.
- Stay updated on changes in the healthcare landscape.
Other Duties (10%)
- Support additional provider contracting or network management activities as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a healthcare-related role.
- Background in provider relations, health insurance, or healthcare operations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Strong organizational, written communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize and follow up in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Medicaid, Medicare, or DSNP contracts.
- Previous exposure to claims processing or provider data management.
- Understanding of health benefits and the healthcare payer environment.
