Job Overview
The position of Operations Assistant is a key role for our motor coach company. Our intent is to move this person from Operations Assistant to Operations Director within approximately one year. With that said, we are looking for a long term employee that is dedicated to our company and wishes to grow with our company.
Duties
- Quoting for charter trips and tours
- Scheduling all trips (motor coach and school bus) in our dispatch calendar
- Assembling driver packets for each trip (regardless of length)
- Disassembling driver packets at the conclusion of each trip
- Assign motor coaches to all trips based on group size and length of tour
- Dispatch drivers for all trips
- Work closely with other staff members to ensure the operations department is functioning properly with other necessary departments (shop staff, quality control staff, bookkeeping, etc.)
Experience
- Transportation related experience is highly desirable - this position involves a great deal of skillsets directly tied to the transportation industry
- Communication skills are critical - the operations department interacts with all other departments in the company
- Being able to multitask (experience in balancing many different tasks simultaneously) is necessary
- Time management is critical as there are continual daily schedules that must be met
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
