Job Description:
If you’re looking for a cushy, coffee-fetching job this summer, this isn’t it. Our intern will work alongside our firm’s full-time employees to learn the ins and outs of land development, environmental conservation, infrastructure design, construction document preparation, stormwater management, water, and sewer utility design, sediment and erosion control, and traffic control. You will work not only with proHNS staff, but engineers, inspectors, and other representatives from our clients and partner firms. Your hands will get dirty, literally - our interns perform on-site concrete testing, stomp through construction sites to inspect contractor progress, and get down in the trenches to sample materials.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current enrollment in Engineering, Construction Management, or Construction Technologies program.
- Ability to work out of our Juneau, Alaska office. This position is not eligible for remote work.
- Three professional or personal references are required at the time of the interview.
Employer Expectations for this Position:
- Summer 2025, exact start and end dates are flexible.
- A two-month minimum commitment is required.
- Anticipate 40 hours/week, Monday - Friday.

Compensation and Benefits:
Employees receive a competitive benefit package including access to our Medical Insurance plans with the employer paying 100% of the employee plan. The wage range for this position is $22.50 - $27.50 per regular hour, DOE. Overtime pay eligible at 1.5x regular wage rate for over 40 hours worked per week. Monthly housing stipend up to $1500, in addition to the use of a company vehicle for work and personal use during employment. The company will reimburse for roundtrip airfare to Juneau.
