Project Hope Foundation is seeking a Transportation Coordinator to oversee and manage transportation services across all campuses. This role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant transportation for clients, staff, and students. The Transportation Coordinator will be responsible for managing drivers, maintaining the vehicle fleet, optimizing routes, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities
Transportation Operations and Fleet Management
- Oversee daily transportation services, ensuring safe and efficient routing
- Develop and maintain transportation schedules, including school routes and client outings
- Manage and coordinate logistics to minimize service disruptions
- Supervise full-time and part-time bus drivers, providing training and performance feedback
- Maintain compliance with Modivcare agreements, DOT regulations, and safety standards
Compliance and Safety
- Ensure transportation operations comply with state and federal regulations, including DOT, OSHA, and ADA requirements
- Implement and monitor driver safety programs and conduct training and compliance audits
- Maintain and update transportation policies and procedures
- Conduct emergency preparedness drills related to transportation incidents
Budget and Reporting
- Monitor and manage the annual transportation budget to ensure cost-effective operations
- Track transportation performance metrics and generate reports for leadership
- Oversee fuel and maintenance expenses to optimize costs while maintaining quality service
Client and Stakeholder Coordination
- Work closely with clinical leadership and Hope Academy to align transportation services with client needs
- Address transportation-related concerns and escalations as they arise
What We’re Looking For
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience
- Three or more years of leadership or management experience in transportation or logistics
Skills and Competencies
- Knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements
- Experience with fleet management, route optimization, and driver supervision
- Strong problem-solving abilities to address operational challenges
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn Google Suite, CentralReach, and Podio
Physical Requirements
- Ability to remain seated for extended periods while performing administrative duties
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds for supply and vehicle maintenance management
- Ability to travel between campuses as needed
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions during transportation activities
