Description
- Responsible for overall management of the Respite Bed Program
- Responsible for bed recruitment in conjunction with the executive staff of the agency.
- Recruits and maintains bed sites that are within 1 hour’s distance from the Drop-In Center.
- Oversees that respite bed partners are willing to receive clients by the time the Drop-In Center operations are finished for all evenings.
- Facilitates resolution of any immediate concerns and works closely with the community church partners to keep relationships strong.
- Assigns clients to specific respite bed locations.
- Ensures full utilization of respite bed capacity and confers daily with the Case Management Coordinator of the Drop-In Center regarding any clinical or absentee issues of clients.
- Responsible for supervision of staff and stipend workers within the Respite Bed Program.
- Recruits, trains and assesses volunteer pool of overnight bed workers. Develops a volunteer training manual for the program.
- Available 24 hour on-call for crisis issues
Qualifications
- A college degree is preferred for this position, HS Diploma/GED required and previous experience working with the homeless and substance abuse populations.
- Clean and valid drivers license.
- Needs the ability to establish workload priorities and balance a diverse workload.
- Must have exceptional communication skills both orally and in writing with individuals and groups regarding complex and sensitive issues or regulations.
