What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Bankruptcy Paralegal position at Project Recruit?
Project Recruit has partnered with a top boutique real estate Law Firm (20 attorneys) seeking to hire a commercial real estate lending attorney to assist in all components of sophisticated commercial real estate financings for entrepreneurial and institutional real estate clients, focusing on commercial lender representation.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Experience with Chapter 11 creditor-side bankruptcy matters required
- Prepare, file, and serve pleadings; calendar and track related deadlines in New York, New Jersey, and federal bankruptcy courts, including retention and fee applications.
- Prepare, file and track proofs of claim motions, notices, and related exhibits
- Facilitate hearing preparation and support by coordinating appearances and preparing materials. Assist team with hearing and trial preparation.
- Proficiency in using CM / ECF filing in the Bankruptcy Court and / or NYSCEF filing in NYS
- Manage case calendar, task lists and critical dates. Manage files to assist teams in representations of official creditors’
- Meet and confer with attorneys, clients, and other professionals as needed
- Review and monitor case dockets to classify and circulate relevant pleadings.
