Key Responsibilities:
- Represent school districts in special education matters, including due process hearings and administrative proceedings.
- Advise clients on compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and New York State special education laws and regulations.
- Draft legal opinions, policies, and proposed regulatory language for school district clients.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of legal experience, preferably in education law, special education, administrative law, or litigation.
- Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the New York State Bar.
