Construction Coordinator

PRG is seeking a skilled Construction Coordinator to join our team. This role involves field and office responsibilities, ensuring the execution of outside plant telecommunications construction projects. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in underground and aerial fiber cable installation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and review FTTH layout including cabinet placement, cabinet sizing, distance, resiliency design for future builds, back-bone, splitter standards, splicing and fiber utilization parameters.
- Conduct field verification drive-outs once engineering prints are finalized to assure constructability.
- Partner with construction when engineering redesigns are necessary during forward production.
- Keeps clients and others informed about project status and issues impacting client relations.
- Attend contractor meetings and calls as necessary.
- Implement new processes and procedures as set forth by the engineering department.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience in underground cable construction.
- Strong understanding of local area dig laws and regulations.
- Excellent leadership skills to guide and mentor subcontractors and vendors.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interpret, communicate, and fulfill client needs.
- Exceptional organizational and project prioritization skills.
- Knowledge of fiber construction and engineering principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and G Suite for creating and managing reports and data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to different audiences.
- Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments in varying weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and insurance, with a willingness to travel to job sites (mileage reimbursement available).
- Ability to work occasional overtime to meet project demands.
