Job Summary

PRG is seeking a skilled Construction Coordinator to join our team. This role involves field and office responsibilities, ensuring the execution of outside plant telecommunications construction projects. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in underground and aerial fiber cable installation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and review FTTH layout including cabinet placement, cabinet sizing, distance, resiliency design for future builds, back-bone, splitter standards, splicing and fiber utilization parameters.
• Conduct field verification drive-outs once engineering prints are finalized to assure constructability.
• Partner with construction when engineering redesigns are necessary during forward production.
• Keeps clients and others informed about project status and issues impacting client relations.
• Attend contractor meetings and calls as necessary.
• Implement new processes and procedures as set forth by the engineering department.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  
  

Required Skills And Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience in underground cable construction.
• Strong understanding of local area dig laws and regulations.
• Excellent leadership skills to guide and mentor subcontractors and vendors.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to interpret, communicate, and fulfill client needs.
• Exceptional organizational and project prioritization skills.
• Knowledge of fiber construction and engineering principles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and G Suite for creating and managing reports and data.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to different audiences.
• Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments in varying weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and insurance, with a willingness to travel to job sites (mileage reimbursement available).
• Ability to work occasional overtime to meet project demands.
  
  
  

Work Environment

This role requires a combination of office and fieldwork. You will spend a minimum of three days a week at PRG or client offices, but you will be required to travel daily to construction sites. The role involves extensive walking, climbing stairs, and performing physical tasks in various weather conditions.
