Position Overview
Project SHARE is a food pantry that serves 1000 families monthly, with the vision of “Nourishing Our Community…Awakening Hope.” The SHARE Support Program Coordinator is responsible for facilitating programs and creating a support network that addresses root causes of food insecurity for families that utilize food pantry services, in an effort to promote stability and assist families on their journey toward self-sufficiency. The employee will work closely with the Executive Director to finalize the design, implementation and evaluation of Project SHARE’s Resource Navigation and Coaching Programming.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
● Provides resource navigation support to individuals using Project SHARE, by assessing needs, making warm referrals, assisting with applications and initiating follow up to ensure positive connections with other services.
● Acts as a liaison for families using Project SHARE to other social support services by building relationships with other local social service providers to achieve coordination of care.
● Addresses holistic needs of families seeking support from Project SHARE, ensuring confidentiality and dignity in all interactions.
● Implements classes, held at Project SHARE, in partnership with other non-profits, that provides support and skills that address root causes of food insecurity.
● Facilitates case management and coaching, providing a support system for individuals to move toward stability. Responsibilities include recruiting participants, completing initial intake, creating a plan and guided goal setting, monitoring and evaluating progress.
● Act as an advocate for individuals and families using Project SHARE’s services, on their journey toward stability and self-sufficiency.
● Coordinate Project SHARE’s Summer Reading Program, in conjunction with Project SHARE’s Summer Feeding 4 Kids Program. Includes soliciting book donations, creating a summer reading program, collaborating with the library and coordinating volunteers for implementation.
● Creatively seeks to expand and improve Project SHARE’s stability and self-sufficiency programming, in alignment with evidence based best practices.
● Supervises volunteers and interns, as necessary
● Stays up to date on community resources.
● Pursues continuing education and stays up to date on evidence based best practices.
● Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
● Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related field, Master’s Degree (MSW) preferred
● At least 3 years’ experience in social service setting.

Special Position Requirements
This is a 40 hr/week, full-time position. Project SHARE is open from 8:00am to 4:00pm Mondays through Thursdays, and 8:00am-12:00 pm on Fridays. Additionally, Project SHARE operates evening and weekend pantry hours. Each team member is required to support 1 evening and 1 Saturday pantry shift monthly, flexing their time within the 40 hour work week.
