Period of Performance : 340 days; work is expected to begin in approximately April 2025 and extend through approximately November 2026.
Salary Range : $80,000 to $95,000 DOE

Project / Position Overview :
Rehabilitate and Reconfigure the Historic Laurel Dormitory at Old Faithful
This project focuses on the rehabilitation of the historic Laurel Dormitory, one of only six remaining buildings contributing to the Old Faithful Inn Historic District. The rehabilitation will preserve the building's exterior while modernizing the interior to provide contemporary employee housing. All work will adhere to the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Rehabilitation of Historic Buildings.
Exterior Rehabilitation :
Full replacement of exterior wall and roof coverings.Reconstruction of entrances and porches.Window repair and rehabilitation, including storm window installation.Interior Reconfiguration :
Foundation stabilization and repairs.Near-complete replacement of interior partitions to create a new, modern floor plan.Installation of a new elevator.Replacement of all plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.Installation of new floor, wall, and ceiling finishes.Site and Utility Improvements :
Construction of an asphalt parking lot, concrete walkways, and a drainage basin.Installation of a new primary electric line and service line.Directional drilling for a new sewer service connection.Establishment of a new water service connection.In addition to the dormitory, the project will also rehabilitate and reconfigure an adjacent laundry building, repurposing it as storage space for Laurel Dormitory tenants.
Responsibilities and Duties :
Provide technical assistance and support to CO during construction.Read, interpret and understand the construction contract plans and specificationsArrange, attend and facilitate a variety of meetings, including weekly meetings at the project site.Document issues encountered and problems experienced with the construction contractor.Review contractor's baseline and progress schedules.Draft project related correspondence for NPS to review and issuanceUnderstand and document inspections during and post construction as well as mock-up inspectionsInspect the work of the construction contractor for progress, workmanship, quality and conformance with contract documents, applicable building codes and safety standards.Deliver reports, reviews, evaluations, design work, etc. to CO.Review, analyze, and assist in preparing cost estimatesReview and process Construction Contractor's RFIs and assist in resolution, draft response, tracking, and follow up.Required Education, Knowledge and Skills :
Education and professional qualifications related to construction, architecture, and engineering.5 years related Construction Management Experience.Minimum of OSHA 30-hour construction safety training.Knowledge and experience with historical preservation projects.Knowledge in construction practices including applicable building codes, applicable safety regulations (must have a minimum of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30 hour construction safety training), cost breakdown estimating and negotiating, and technical writing.Knowledge of cost estimating with breakdown of labor, materials and equipment costs for proposed construction contract modifications.Ability to read and interpret plans, schedules, and other specifications.Written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skillsKnowledge of software including Microsoft Project, Word and Excel.Qualified applicant must be able to pass a background check.Ability to walk or climb on a daily basis to observe contract performance.Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals.Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment.Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, bend, walk or climb daily to observe contract performance for prolonged periods of time.Must be able to physically operate a motor vehicle without danger to self or to others.Work outside the office involving strenuous activity and exposure to the elements for up to 10 hours per day, with weather varying from extreme heat to extreme cold and walking over rough, uneven surfaces.Maintain a valid driver's license.What Does PSI Offer You?
