Project Weber/RENEW Full Charge Bookkeeper
Full time (40 hours/week), permanent position
$22-26/hour
Project Weber/RENEW (PWR) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide culturally competent, appropriate, and sensitive harm reduction and recovery services to high risk people, both during street outreach and at the nation’s first drop-in center for male, female, and transgender sex workers.
PWR is seeking a full time full charge bookkeeper to help enter and maintain our financial records. PWR is undergoing programmatic and financial growth: this position will help support the organization as it grows. This position includes PWR supported health insurance, paid time off, retirement 403B, and other benefits.
- Allocates all receipts, expenses, and other financial data points into accounting system
- Tracking of employee advances and client recovery housing payments
- Support PWR single audit process and provide any necessary documentation
- Maintains records of financial transactions
- Processes employees' timesheets and manages payroll allocations
- Backup to Finance Manager on processing bi-weekly payroll run
- Prepares financial information and documentation for monthly invoices and grant reports
- Processes all Accounts Payable and monitors cash flow
- Complies with GAAP, federal, state, and local legal requirements
- Works within a small team to share financial information
- Reports to the Finance Manager
Education, Experience, and Qualification Requirements:
- Associate's degree in accounting or related field, and/or Certified Bookkeeper preferred
- A commitment to Project Weber/RENEW’s mission
- Attention to detail
- Previous bookkeeping experience required
- Experience with Quickbooks Online preferred
- Experience in working with non-profit organizations preferred
