This role will be pivotal in driving the growth and success of our IT solutions in the marketplace. This person will oversee the sales strategy, manage the sales team, and build strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate will be a results-driven leader with deep expertise in IT services sales, a passion for technology, and a proven track record of developing and executing high-impact sales strategies that accelerate revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Leadership
- Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company’s overall growth objectives.
- Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activity, and client needs to ensure our solutions remain competitive and relevant.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including expanding into new industries, verticals, and geographic regions.
- Lead, motivate, and coach a high-performing sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Develop and lead sales plays to drive growth and open new client logos and markets.
- Foster a collaborative sales culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement to drive performance and growth.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through strategic prospecting and networking.
- Proactively address customer needs and concerns, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
Sales Process Management
- Implement and optimize sales processes and methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop a set of metrics for the organization that tracks sales performance.
- Utilize sales tools and CRM systems to track sales activities, forecast revenue, and analyze performance metrics.
- Monitor industry trends and competitive landscapes to identify emerging opportunities and threats.
Team Development
- Recruit, hire, and onboard talented sales professionals.
- Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and knowledge.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams
- Work closely with Practices and marketing teams to ensure alignment between the sales strategy and go-to-market initiatives.
- Collaborate with technical and delivery teams to ensure smooth transitions and successful client project delivery.
Qualifications
- Proven track record of success in sales leadership with a specialty in professional/IT services, focusing on revenue generation and team management.
- Deep understanding of the IT industry, including emerging technologies and market trends.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, inspire, and empower a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Proficiency in sales CRM and sales enablement tools.
Metrics & KPIs
- Revenue Growth: Percentage increase in revenue within a defined period (quarter, year).
- Quota Attainment: Percentage of sales target or quota achieved.
- Customer Acquisition: Number of new customers acquired within the target period.
- Sales Pipeline Health: Value and number of deals in the sales pipeline (measured as sales qualified leads, opportunities, and closed deals).
- Win Rate: The ratio of the number of deals won versus the number of deals pursued.
- Average Deal Size: Average revenue per deal closed.
- Sales Cycle Time: The average time taken to convert a lead into a closed deal.
- Sales Forecast Accuracy: How accurately sales forecasts align with actual outcomes.
- Customer Retention: Percentage of clients retained year over year.
- Customer Satisfaction: Net Promoter Score (NPS), client satisfaction ratings.
