A day in the life
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Finance Leader to oversee financial strategy, capitalization and operational integration of our emerging vertical business initiatives, including energy, mobility, and data centers. This role will focus on strategic alignment, capital markets monitoring, product structuring, profitability analysis, recapitalization, and M&A activities while identifying key industry trends and opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in banking or related industries, along with extensive experience navigating the financial complexities of innovative and evolving sectors. This position plays a critical role in driving strategic financial decisions, ensuring financial health, and creating sustainable value for stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partner with the CFO organization, Chief Energy and Sustainability Officer (CESO), and EMS (Energy, Mobility, and Sustainability) Head of Finance to deliver strategic insights on third-party capital solutions, recapitalization efforts, and M&A opportunities.
- Support management of EMS banking relationships and external capital partnerships, developing strategies to maximize financial outcomes.
- Collaborate with CFO teams (tax, accounting, global FP&A, capital markets, and treasury) to align financial product offerings with strategic goals.
- Support the CIO and investment committee in underwriting new products, initiatives, and growth opportunities.
- Provide expert analysis of global market trends and fundamentals, guiding capital allocation and market expansion efforts.
- Identify and evaluate strategic partnerships and M&A opportunities, working closely with EMS leadership.
- Conduct regular reviews of business performance and strategic alignment, presenting actionable insights and recommendations to the CFO, CESO, and executive committee.
Building blocks for success
Required:
- 10 years of progressive financial leadership roles, with a focus on capital markets, recapitalization, M&A, and banking.
- Demonstrated expertise in the Energy and Mobility industries (e.g., renewable energy, electric vehicles, transportation innovation).
- Track record of executing complex financial transactions, including M&A and large-scale capital raising.
- Strong knowledge of financial modeling, valuation, and strategic planning.
- Familiarity with regulatory environments and financial compliance in relevant sectors.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in both start-up and established corporate finance environments
- General knowledge of REIT structures and Industrial Real Estate
Hiring Salary Range of: $200,000 -$270,000. Salary and whole compensation package (bonus target & LTI (Long Term Incentives) to be determined by the candidate's location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
