In searching for a strong candidate to help manage control room operations within a Distribution Center. The successful candidate will support a schedule that includes Weekends and Swing Shifts to support as needed the daily operation. This position will also support other Departments and Areas as needed.
This is a 1st shift position located in Wilmington. Hours may change and may include working weekends.
Responsibilities include :
- Ensures accuracy of receiving / shipping paperwork is within standard
- Ensure productivity of assigned control room tasks are within standard
Candidate needs to have problem solving skills, analyzes information, develops alternative solutions, work well in a group environment. displays willingness to make decisions; exhibits sound and accurate judgment; supports and explains reasoning for decisions.
Prioritizes and plans work activities; uses time efficiently; plans for additional resources. Approaches others in a tactful manner; reacts well under pressure; treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position; accepts responsibility for own actions; and follows through on commitments.
Job Requirements :
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.
One to three years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Control Room / Dispatch experience highly desired. Spanish speaking skills a plus.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Excel Spreadsheet software, MS Word Processing software, and MS Outlook.
