What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recreation/ Activities Coordinator position at Promenade at University Place?
Summary: We are looking to hire a dynamic and ambitious individual to serve as the Activity coordinator for our assisted living facility in Albany NY. The Activity coordinator will facilitate a variety of recreational activity programs geared to meet individual, physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the residents.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Creating a monthly activity calendar for residents;
- Implementing recreation activities that are scheduled on the monthly activity calendar;
- Assisting in coordinating appropriate entertainment;
- Taking direction from Executive Director;
- Engaging and motivating residents to partake in daily social, physical and cognitive activities as planned;
- Maintaining records of all activities and resident participation levels of each activity;
- Creating events in alignment with occupancy rates and needs of residents;
- Purchasing appropriate arts, crafts and supplies for scheduled activities;
- Planning, organizing and scheduling diversified and stimulating activities with sufficient supervision as necessary;
- Implementing programs with appropriate religious services;
- Decorate rooms and other facility areas for holidays, birthday parties and theme parties;
- grams to enlist volunteers within community to aid in resident and assisted living facility activities for all departments;
- Covering front desk as needed;
- assists residents on community outings, and during resident special events/holiday celebrations;
- Performing other duties as needed and/or assigned.
