What are the responsibilities and job description for the Communications Specialist (Marketing & Graphic Design) position at Prominent Global Solutions?

PGS is seeking a high performing, experienced Marketing and Communications Specialist who is interested in collaborating on all aspects of oral, written, and graphic communications. This individual will author high-quality multi-platform products, including fact sheets, briefs, talking points, email messages, and social media content, and support technical reviews and production of technical reports. This position is part time.   

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop strategic marketing plans with focus on understanding audience targets, buyer personas, white-space positioning of the PGS brand
  • Be the primary voice for the company, leading all external communications and ensuring consistent and succinct messaging
  • Lead the development of creative and innovative campaigns, with a focus on full-funnel activities and demand generation; liaising with internal and/or external agency partners to launch and optimize
  • Build news brand presence by creating effective communication and relationships between the company and our subscribers (and prospects), and employ best practices to grow number of followers
  • Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences and monitor and optimize web referral traffic
  • Collaborate (internally and externally) to maintain brand standards and continuity on social media and suggest and implement new strategies to develop brand awareness. Ensure unified brand voice across all areas of the organization
  • Communicate daily with social media audience/followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor mentions
  • Research industry news and marketing trends and encourage audience engagement
  • Create and analyze monthly and annual reports
  • Stay up to date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools/applications
  • Create captivating designs for various projects (digital and print)
  • Create multimedia presentations, which involves using creative processes and tools to generate graphics and displays
  • Transform spoken or written descriptions of items, processes, issues, or events into visual representations without the benefit of existing pictures, models, or diagrams
  • Produce creative graphic design work to convey intended messages or have a desired effect on intended audiences through illustrations, websites, posters for meetings, and signage

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • An active presence across multiple social media platforms
  • Experience with SEO
  • Craft visually inspiring solutions: ability to apply design knowledge (color theory, typography, grids, composition) across all media
  • Ability to solve problems
  • Working experience with Photoshop Adobe Premiere/ After Effects
  • Good eye for photography, and photo/video editing skills required
  • Basic understanding of copyright laws and best practices
  • Thoughtful, analytical, possessing attention to detail and strong collaboration skills; ability to engage in constructive dialogue about the work and embrace an environment of learning, entrepreneurship and caring for shared goals
  • Degree in journalism, communications, graphic design, or digital marketing
