GENERAL SUMMARY: Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provides direct patient care and support as part of the health care team. Observes the patient’s physical, mental, and emotional conditions and reports any changes as appropriate. Abides by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI). Serves a population 4 months through geriatric. Proficient in Special procedures, Cystoscopy, Endoscopy, ENT, GYN, General surgery. -AND Spine, or Cardiovascular. AND Ortho, and Robotics. MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Graduate of accredited surgical technology program, PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 1 year of Surgical OR experience AS degree in surgical technology REQUIRED LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION: Current certification for surgical technologist in the State of Kansas Healthcare Provider BLS through AHA or ARC before start date PREFERRED LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION: N/A SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR CARDIOVASCULAR CATH LAB Regular and holiday call is required 30-minute response time when called in Regular and Holiday call is required for CSTs in OR, CVOR, Endoscopy and Perianesthesia.(No call is required for staff assigned to PASS.) CST’s assigned to OR, CVOR and Endoscopy require a 30 minute response time when being called in.
