Position Summary
The Accounts Payable Analyst has hybrid responsibilities between Accounts Payable (AP) and Payroll (PR). Primary responsibility is within the Accounts Payable department with full cycle invoice and payment processing. Secondary support will be to the Payroll department by serving as supplemental support during peak payroll processing times and providing support coverage as the Payroll department has need.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Process a high volume of invoices ensuring accurate GL coding and appropriate approvals are received per our Delegation of Authority.
Process weekly payment files including uploads to bank portal and printed payments.
Assis in month end close process accruals and reporting.
Track invoices for utilities and other recurring payments.
Upload support for credit card payments.
Provide support to all departments and act as a source expert for all AP platforms.
Research and resolve vendor issues in a timely manner, including balance forward items on invoices and obtaining support when necessary.
Assist with annual 1099 reporting.
Maintains confidentiality of accounting and financial information as appropriate.
Adhere to risk and control processes to ensure effective execution and address internal and external risks.
Filing payroll tax returns according to legislative timelines and stipulations
Reconciling payroll tax payments internally
Monitoring relevant payroll tax legislation
Helping employees on payroll tax or other payroll matters
Reconciling PTO balances on a monthly basis
Process payroll in the event the Payroll Director is unable
Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications and Requirements
Education :
Associates degree required and bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred.
Experience :
Three (3) years’ experience in an accounts payable related role or environment.
At least two years’ experience working in payroll
Experience working with DynamicsGP and / or DynamicsSL preferred.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :
Ability to handle complex financial data and optimize financial processes.
Demonstrates proficiency with existing general ledger / accounts payable software.
Ability to take direction while working independently.
Ability to routinely interact with employees and vendors in a professional and customer-service oriented manner.
Strong attention to detail
Ability to multi-task and prioritize while meeting deadlines.
Consistently maintains regular attendance habits.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, expert Excel skills are required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; communicate articulately and comprehend moderate or complex written and verbal communications.
Ability to utilize technology and company systems efficiently with expert knowledge of common HRIS (ADP Workforce Now)
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Sitting / Standing : Extended periods of sitting and / or standing in an open office environment.
Lifting : Commonly lifts items weighing less than five (5) lbs.; may occasionally lift items weighing up to 25 lbs.
Handling : Normal office activity including keyboarding, interacting with others, participating in meetings, extended periods of sitting and / or standing in an open office environment, use of headset or telephone for extended periods of time.
Repetitive motion : Frequent and regular use of the wrists, hands, and fingers to make small movements such as typing or picking up small objects. Normal fine and gross motor control of fingers and hands.
