Help Desk Technician

Overview
We are seeking a skilled IT Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. This role requires a proactive individual who can troubleshoot issues, manage computer systems, and assist users with their IT needs. The IT Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction through effective problem resolution and support.

Duties

• Provide first-level support for hardware and software issues, including troubleshooting and resolving problems related to operating systems, applications, and network connectivity.
• Assist users with help desk inquiries and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
• Manage local area network (LAN) configurations and monitor network performance to ensure optimal functionality.
• Conduct routine maintenance on computer hardware, including installation, upgrades, and repairs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in IT support or help desk roles.
• Strong understanding of computer management, including hardware components and operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).
• Knowledge of LAN setup and troubleshooting techniques.
• Experience with firewall management is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a customer-focused attitude.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with users at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
