We are seeking an experienced Water Restoration Project Manager to oversee and manage water damage restoration projects from start to finish. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a team of technicians while ensuring high-quality service delivery to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of water mitigation processes, customer service, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
As a Water Restoration Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing restoration work following water damage due to flooding, storms, broken pipes, or other causes. You will ensure that the project is completed efficiently, safely, and within budget, while maintaining excellent communication with clients, insurance companies, and the project team.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management:
- Supervise water damage restoration projects from initial assessment through to final completion.
- Ensure work is performed to company standards and complies with safety and industry regulations.
- Create and manage project timelines, ensuring timely and efficient completion of each phase of restoration work.
- Prepare detailed project estimates, including labor, materials, and equipment required.
- Manage project budgets and ensure all costs are tracked and accounted for.
- Team Leadership & Coordination:
- Lead and supervise a team of water damage restoration technicians.
- Assign tasks, provide guidance, and ensure proper training and safety protocols are followed.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and other third parties as needed.
- Monitor daily progress, ensuring team members are productive, efficient, and meeting deadlines.
- Client & Insurance Liaison:
- Communicate with clients to explain the scope of work, progress, and any necessary changes.
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure that client needs and expectations are met.
- Act as the primary point of contact for insurance adjusters, ensuring timely and accurate communication regarding claims.
- Prepare documentation and photos for insurance claims and maintain accurate records of work performed.
- Quality Control & Compliance:
- Perform regular inspections to ensure the quality of work is maintained throughout the restoration process.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed and that the work site is secure.
- Stay up to date on industry best practices, techniques, and technologies to improve processes and services.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to water restoration and environmental standards.
- Problem Solving & Troubleshooting:
- Identify potential issues or challenges early in the project and take proactive steps to resolve them.
- Address any client concerns or complaints quickly and professionally to maintain satisfaction.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience:
- 3 years of experience in water damage restoration or a related field.
- Experience in managing restoration projects and supervising teams is preferred.
- Knowledge of water damage mitigation techniques, mold remediation, and drying equipment.
- Certifications (preferred, but not required):
- IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification) Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT).
- IICRC Applied Structural Drying (ASD) or other relevant certifications are a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and technical documents.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Other:
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts, as needed.
- Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
