We are seeking a Food & Beverage Operations Supervisor with strong experience in Sports & Entertainment catering with an emphasis on overseeing multiple suite/club areas. This role will be instrumental in the day to day success of our Premium Food & Beverage Operations as one of the point people for all things Premium Hospitality leading up to and on event days.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing and effectively managing all day-to-day duties to ensure that each event is executed flawlessly from start to finish.
    • Events include but are not limited to:
      • Hospitality suites and clubs during football, basketball, baseball, equestrian, and other athletic events.
      • On-campus catering events/pop-up catering events.
  • Serves as a main point of contact for inquiries from the client especially on game days. Responsible for nurturing this relationship.
  • Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations; securing revenues; and maintaining security systems.
  • Managing existing and developing leadership team, encouraging growth and mentorship with all staff.
  • Attending frequent meetings and open lines of communication with sales, operations, and culinary team in preparation for each event.
  • Responsible for setting the precedence that all staff will follow including but not limited to: uniform expectations, customer service policies, uniformity in buffet aesthetics and creating a positive and productive workplace culture.
  • Assist General Manager in scheduling to the needs of the business several months in advance and also for last minute “pop-up” events. Additionally, building relationships with staffing agencies and assisting the operations director in the hiring process.
  • Creating, editing and updating packing/pull lists for warehouse team and front of house team for preparation and event day.
  • Communicating with serving, bartending and culinary staff to ensure all scheduled staff are properly trained and prepared for event(s).

Qualifications


Required Qualifications

  • 2 years of sales experience, with at least 2 years in a food & beverage operations role.
  • Knowledge of Catering Operations, preferably in a stadium or high-volume setting.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen with proven track record for generating revenue growth.
  • Strong people skills with a kind demeanor.
  • Solid and proven track record for sales and leadership success.
  • Tech savvy, with high proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs.
    • Experience with BEO software, Caterease, is preferred.
  • Must live near or be willing to commute to Auburn, AL.

Work Environment 

This position breakdown will be a variety of office work and event operations. Office work entails computer usage, interdepartmental meetings and communications via email, phone, and in person, and sorting and filing paperwork. Events may be in an indoor or outdoor setting with movement between temporary structures, buildings, and different terrains. 

Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • This position may have periods of standing, moving through an event space, and traveling from venue to venue with bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks; such as but not limited to, lifting approx. 40 lbs.
