Duties
- Utilize transportation management systems to plan and coordinate freight movement efficiently.
- Monitor GPS tracking to ensure timely delivery and address any issues that arise during transit.
- Perform data entry tasks related to shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
- Communicate effectively with drivers via phone systems to provide updates and instructions.
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to enhance transportation planning and logistics strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and customer interactions.
- Utilize GIS tools as needed for route optimization and geographic analysis.
- Address any shipping or receiving discrepancies promptly to maintain service quality.
Requirements
- Proficiency in transportation management systems and GPS technology.
- Experience with data entry and familiarity with freight operations.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes and transportation planning principles.
- Familiarity with GIS applications is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with drivers and clients.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Previous experience in dispatching or logistics is preferred but not required.
