Dispatcher 

 Pay Rate: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

Location: Belflower, CA

Shift: M -F, 8-hour shift, Day shift, Weekends as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

• Assist Dial-A-Ride passengers over the phone with their reservation and simultaneously assist drivers over the radio call.
• Detailed data entry on Microsoft Excel.
• Respond to safety emergencies efficiently. 
• Direct the day-to- day route operations of transit drivers who provide service for the Alta-med Pace-Centers.
• Keep compliance with the procedures defined by the client "Alta-med Clinics" and in conformance with company procedures.
• Daily communication and interaction with drivers and Alta-med Pace Centers coordinators.
• Organize and conduct activities to ensure safe, cost-effective, and on-time operating performance by all drivers.
• Receive, transmit, and track messages from the drivers and from the Pace-Centers.
• Address problems and provide solutions in a timely manner.
• Use radio communication, answer phone calls from the client, set up tablets for drivers, and use the computer to send messages to drivers and clients.
• Read google maps for driver directions and locations. 
• Direct the activities of the frontline staff. 
• Additional duties as assigned. 

Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

• Other special projects assigned by location management. 
• Coordinate with other departments, such as fire department, police department, and emergency medical service.
• Obtain relevant information from callers, for example addresses, phone numbers, names, ages of family members, etc.
• Assist with monthly billing data entry.
• Monitor drivers On-time Performance.
• Handle passenger complaints.
• Scheduling and routing.
• Provide great customer service.

Minimum Job Qualifications 

• We are looking to fill in 1 Dispatcher Position for our Dial A ride services and Fix route services.
• We are looking for an individual who has some experience in public transportation.
• We are looking for an individual who can multi-task since this person will be responsible for
• Dispatching: 1 year (Preferred)
• Ability to communicate in Spanish (Required)
• You are at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma required.
• Parking operations experience preferred. 
• Customer Service experience.

Skills

• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively. 
• Strong computer skills (ability to operate specific software programs) and handheld devices. 
• Thrive in a fast-paced, multi-faceted work environment. 
• Must be able to work unsupervised. 
• Ability to speak, read and comprehend the English and Spanish language. 
• Must be able to make decisions independently. 
• Demonstrate a sense of urgency and timeliness.
