We are a well-established property management company in Florida seeking a dedicated and experienced Property Manager/Bookkeeper to join our team. We specialize in managing a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial properties and are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented professional to ensure our financials are accurate and that our properties are running smoothly.
Position Overview:
The Property Manager/Bookkeeper will play a key role in managing day-to-day property operations, overseeing tenant relations, and maintaining accurate financial records for a portfolio of properties. The ideal candidate will have over 6 years of experience in property management and real estate accounting, with a strong knowledge of financial reporting, QuickBooks, and property management software. You must be highly organized, self-sufficient, and a reliable team player. Must be bilingual (English/Spanish) and have a reliable car.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of property management for residential and commercial properties.
- Handle tenant inquiries, complaints, and maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Oversee lease administration, including renewals, rent collections, and evictions.
- Prepare and reconcile monthly financial statements, including profit and loss reports, balance sheets, and budgets for all properties.
- Ensure accuracy in accounts payable and accounts receivable, and follow up with tenants and vendors as needed.
- Process payroll and prepare tax-related documents.
- Oversee the financial management of property-related expenses and income.
- Manage property management software to track rent payments, maintenance requests, and other key operations.
- Conduct property inspections and assist with coordinating repairs and maintenance.
- Maintain compliance with all state and local regulations regarding property management and accounting.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in property management and real estate accounting.
- Strong knowledge of real estate accounting, including budgeting, financial statements, and reporting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and property management software.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in both English and Spanish.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in managing properties.
- Knowledge of Florida property laws and regulations is preferred.
- Must have a car and a valid driver’s license.
- Experience working with tenants and vendors in a professional and customer-focused manner.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Annual salary of $55,000.
- Full-time position (Monday through Friday).
- Paid time off and holidays.
