Leasing Agent

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Leasing Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leasing residential properties throughout Lake, Porter and Laporte Counties, ensuring a positive experience for prospective tenants. This role requires strong communication skills, a keen understanding of rental property management leasing, and the ability to negotiate effectively. The Leasing Agent will play a crucial role in leasing single & multi family homes in Northwest Indiana. This is a commission only opportunity. No tier status, flat rate commission only.

Responsibilities

• Handle inquiries via phone and email with professionalism and excellent phone etiquette.
• Maintain accurate records of leasing activities and follow up with leads.
• Conduct property showings for prospective tenants, showcasing available units and highlighting key features.
• Manage the leasing process from application to move-in for your assigned rental units, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately.
• Utilize property management software for tracking applications, gathering tenant income documents, and signing leases.
• You will need a reliable source of transportation.
• We are looking for a Michigan City area leasing agent, office located in Gary, IN but almost never needed to come in office.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a leasing or property management role is preferred.
• Proficient in using Buildium or similar property management software.
• Familiarity with real estate administrative tasks and processes is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
