What you’ll do:
- Case Management: Monitor all cases, ensuring all deadlines are tracked, all requirements are fulfilled, and all filings are completed on time.
- Client Communication: Coordinate with clients by gathering required documents and scheduling appointments. Build strong relationships by addressing all inquiries with empathy and ensuring their needs are met with care and attention throughout the process.
- Legal Document Preparation: Draft, review, and manage legal documents, including discovery responses, court filings, and engagement agreements, ensuring adherence to court rules and firm standards.
- Case Organization: Create and maintain detailed case files, ensuring all information is up to date and readily accessible.
- Discovery Coordination: Oversee all aspects of discovery, including drafting requests, managing responses, organizing production, and maintaining case files.
- Electronic Filing: Prepare and file documents electronically in state and federal courts with precision and minimal guidance.
- Legal Research: Conduct legal research to support case strategy and craft compelling arguments.
- Court Support: Assist with trial preparation, including creating trial binders and supporting procedural and substantive tasks as needed.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience: 2-3 years as a Paralegal, with experience in property tax law or a desire to grow in this specialty.
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to manage complex deadlines and legal documentation with precision.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a client-first mindset.
- Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with electronic filing systems, legal research tools, and case management software.
