Responsibilities
- Conduct health assessments and promote wellness practices
- Distribute medications and administer treatments according to established guidelines
- Record residents' health data accurately and share updates as needed
- Identify and manage urgent medical conditions by implementing necessary interventions or arranging referrals
- Act as the primary responder during medical or behavioral crises
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
- Respond effectively to emergencies involving aggressive or challenging behavioral situations
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in long-term care or skilled nursing
- Completed dementia care training is a plus
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Massachusetts
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred
